The Center for Community Education and Advocacy

Mission:

The purpose of CCEA is to provide participant-driven education and advocacy designed to empower citizens and nonprofit organizations in Wayne County, Ohio, to provide other select direct services to the nonprofit sector to enhance their capacity building and ensure their future sustainability, and to provide students with exposure to careers in the nonprofit sector.

Our Services

Non-Profit Agencies

We can provide the following services to help non-profit agencies maximize their resources and reach their potential:

 

  • Board training

  • Program evaluation 

  • Developing a grant-seeking strategy

  • Grant writing

  • Community needs assessment

Community

A key part of our mission is to provide education as requested for the broader community on various issues including tax preparation and technology skills.

We are also happy to serve as a data repository to the Wayne County community, providing a dashboard of indicators highlighting strengths, disparities, and inequalities in our community.

Students

The Center serves as a link between community organizations and students seeking training in social service work.
